Members,
The
GSC held our 2nd membership meeting on March 22, 2008 at the Nature Center Office located at 8375 N Main
St, Canastota, NY. At our 1st anual membership meeting on January 12, 2008, the members voted to delay the election
of the Board of Directors in order to finalize the GSC Strategic Plan & update the GSC by-laws. Along with
these changes, came our need to add additional board members. We have added 5 additional active board members and
have 2 retirees. Our new by-laws allow us to have a maximum of 15 board members, so we still need board
members to fill some of these new positions. The main purpose of this meeting was for the members to read
the new by-laws & the strategic plan, ask questions, and vote on Board Members.
Voting of existing and new board member position
was held immediately after the vote on the strategic plan & by-laws. Discussion of both documents was held
prior to voting with copies of both documents available before and at the beginning of the meeting. Nomination for board positions
was held prior to the vote.
Thank you to retirees and welcome to new
Board members for your service.
Please note that Board Meeting day and time have
been changed for the convenience of our membership.
